Judy's picnic!

Judy hosted a Lundell pot luck picnic at her house today. A good time was had by all....some telling and listening to old stories from the past and some watching the Vikes play!
I could just kick myself. I took a ton of pictures before we all ate and ran my camera out of memory. I didn't have my glasses or magnifying glass with and decided to delete some old pics on my camera. Well, a couple of wrong pushes of buttons, and wham...I deleted everything on the camera. Now if I had wanted to do that, I never would have figured out how to. Sorry Deanna, Mary, DeRoy and Brenda. They had all left when I deleted the pics, so didn't get on any of these. Thank you, Judy! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Pam P.

Would like a Booya wrap-up!

I didn't get to the Booya this year because of the state baseball tournaments in Gaylord and Arlington. Did anyone take any pictures to post or does anyone want to tell us about it? Did they decide who was having it next year? Come on Lundells....none of you are too shy to talk! Pam

Annual 4th of July picnic

Breakfast was served hot off the grill between 7:30 and 8:00. The pot-luck started at 11:30. Lots of good food and the company was the best! Rutherford started something great almost 40 years ago and we are still enjoying the tradition!

The brothers John Peter and August Lundell

Born on April 15, 1856, in Blackhawk County, Iowa, John Peter Lundell was the first child of Magnus and Sarah Lundell, to be born in the Unites States. August was born in Goodhue County, Minnesota, on June 1, 1858. For August, like their younger brother Andrew, no middle names are known to exist.

Carl Ludwig Magnus Lundell was the only son of Ida (Miller) and August Lundell. He was the namesake of his uncle, Carl Lundell, and both his grandfathers, Ludwig Miller and Magnus Lundell.

Carl and Florence Lundell

Does anyone have the story on where Carl came from or what happened to his family?

Also, please note the new link to the right. Deanna has a new blog, where she tells us about their trip to Hong Kong, which is not far from where Wyatt is living!

Day with Landon

Yesterday Landon spent the day with me. We got all bundled up and went out to Mark's to see "the big green tractor". But when we got there the tractor was in the shed, so he didn't get to sit in it or have a ride. :( But, Dean and Ben were out at Mark's cutting wood, so we got to watch them drop a couple of trees. Landon thought that was cool! The temperature wasn't too bad, but the wind got to me, so we didn't stay out too long. We went to McDonald's and got some lunch. He wanted chicken nuggets and pop, not milk. He sure is talking alot now! He's very funny too! Later in the afternoon, Dean came home, then Landon and I went out to the shed and played ball with Smokey and Bandit. Landon thought that was really fun! His coat got all dirty, but he had fun! He and I kicked a basketball back and forth and he sure surprised me at how good he can kick and throw. I asked him if he was going to be a soccer player. He said...no basketball. (we were kicking a basketball) He also loves bananas!

The cold wind must have been bad for my neck because it started getting really stiff and sore and I had a hard time sleeping last night. It's still really stiff and sore today. I had a pinched nerve in my neck about a month ago and it feels like that again. Man it is not fun getting old! Jodi
